Why its recommended to drink more water after a massage

There are a couple of compelling reasons for this and one is that massage helps to release certain toxins in your body and the water helps flush it out. Massage like exercise, causes muscles to release water,salt, certain chemicals and possibly electrolytes from the body…therefore it can be dehydrating. To counter this, water is suggested to rehydrate the body. Also helps reduce soreness especially after a deep massage like a sports massage,thai massage or a deep tissue session. Some people may sometimes experience dizziness and also a mild headache after a massage and yes this may too be from dehydration. In truth, because our body is made up of about 70 percent water…it may not hurt to make sure its kept hydrated at all times. Yes we may get some of our fluids from fruits and certain foods and beverages but the good, plain water goes a long way. So bottoms up folks to our old friend.. good water.
